Baby Shower

The baby shower for Ashley was last night. It was so much fun! We had a great turn-out with close to 50 people. Kaylea, Alyssa, Heather, and I were at the church mid-afternoon to decorate. Kaylea's mom (affectionetly dubbed "Aunt Tina" in our house) and my mom showed up a few hours later and helped us. We had to iron the white tableclothes, set up the tables, and decorate the tables and the fellowship hall.

and trying to avoid looking at me :)

The shower started at 6:00 PM and everyone brought finger foods.

These cute little ladybug crackers were

made by one of Ashley's sister-in-law, Tracy.

The cake was made by one of Ashley's friends and it was stunning!

One of the games that Shannon, Ashley's sis-in-law, made up was to see how much apple juice people could drink from a baby bottle in 2 minutes. It was hilarious to see grown women drinking from a bottle. We were amazed at how little they were actually able to drink. Babies work hard! Here are some funny blackmail pictures for your enjoyment.

Guzzle, guzzle, guzzle . . .

Are we having fun yet?

Ash got lots of gifts and the gifts on the money tree will be helpful towards a larger purchase they're wanting to make. The shower was great, but the most awesome part of my night happened after the shower was over. We had to bring the tablecloths to Mrs. J, Ashley's mother-in-law, who was going to be laundering them. My mom and I drove over to Matt and Ashley's house to drop off the tablecloths. While we were there we were trying to feel little Kathryn. Ashley was pushing on her and my mom and I were seeing if we could feel any knees or elbows. We felt hard places where we knew there was some body part, but then she moved right where my hand was! It was so cool to feel her moving around. And then she did it a second time in another spot! It was SO amazing. We are most definitely "fearfully and wonderfully made" (Psalm 139) by God Almighty!! Thanks, Kathryn!! I can't wait to hold you! :)
